KS2 Class Teacher - Maternity Cover

We require a maternity cover Class Teacher to join our KS2 team in January 2021.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a fabulous and growing team who are shaping the future of St Michael’s Church School.

St Michael’s is a rapidly growing school at the heart of a new community on the Cardea housing development in South Stanground. We opened in September 2012 with 14 children and currently have 423 children from Reception to Year 6 who make us smile every day. Our journey towards being an amazing, community based school continues with many opportunities for teachers who are aspiring to become leaders and excellent practitioners.

Fundraising Volunteer

Purpose of the role:
To help raise funds for St Michael's Church School in order that we can provide resources to meet the needs of the children in our school.

Have you got the following skills & experience?
 A professional and friendly telephone manner;
 Good written and verbal communication skills;
 Ability to work on own initiative;
 Previous fundraising experience would be a bonus;
 Commitment to work in compliance with the schools policies and procedures.

You will be a member of the St Michael's Fundraising Committee and working with other Committee members, you will be:
 Developing school/community fundraising and awareness events;
 Manning a stall at an event;
 Putting up posters/handling out flyers;
 Approaching individuals, shops and commercial organisations for
sponsorship and donations. 

How much time should you offer? Where will you be based?
 We are looking for volunteers who are able to meet with us for 1-2 hours on a regular fortnightly basis plus undertaking other voluntary work as agreed by the Fundraising Committee.

What will we expect from you?
 Commit to volunteering with us for at least 6 months;
 Perform your volunteering role to the best of your ability;
 Maintain the confidential information of the school and of its stakeholders;
 Read and comply with St Michael's policies, procedures and guidelines;
 Attend any training relevant to your duties;
 Act in a professional way whenever you represent St Michael's;
 Raise any concerns at the earliest opportunity;
 Give us as much notice as possible should you be unable to attend or carry out your volunteer role with us anymore.
