Welcome to Badgers

Miss Hussain
Miss Carter
Mr Pamment
Mrs Allison

Did you know that badgers live in homes with their families and love spending time with relatives?

In Badgers classroom, we love spending time with one another and are a big family. We help each other to become the best we can be. We show resilience in our daily tasks and understand we need to show perseverance when faced with challenges.

Another cool fact about Badgers is that they keep their homes in tip top shape. We believe that by keeping our classroom neat and tidy we can concentrate and focus on our learning better.

Badgers Class are a happy and friendly set of children who enjoy learning and experiencing exciting learning opportunities. As a class, we are kind, caring and energetic with a real passion for learning.

Books we are currently reading in school

This books helps us to immerse ourselves in our topic The Great Fire of London. We are able to write stories and information texts using this book, and others.

This book allows us to create stories, settings and characters that are based on fairytale characters we have already learnt about.

This book helps us write an exciting piece on how to make disgusting sandwiches and allows us to have fun finding the most dreadful and disgusting language we can think of.

Peter Rabbit and Squirrel Nutkin by Beatrix Potter

These books help us think about traditional tales. We are able to develop interesting language choices and we are beginning to use a thesaurus to further develop our language skills.

These books develop our stamina as readers. We begin to understand how characters actions, thoughts and feelings change throughout the chapters and we can start to think about how we can develop our characters in our writing.

These books are incredible and will help us continue to develop our stamina as a reader. We are also excited to imagine we are pirates sailing on the high seas!

In our topic we will be looking at seaside destinations from the past and present. We will be looking at how these places have changed. We will also be comparing and contrasting living in Cardea and living beside the sea! This is a lovely link to our end of term trip to Hunstanton, because “Oh we do like to be beside the sea side!”
