Call to Prayer for the Nation
A Call to Prayer for the Nation
On Wednesday 4th November, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York and Bishop of London called the Church of England to pray for the nation throughout the month of November.
In response to this, we have launched on our website a series of ‘Creative Prayer’ for your children to learn different ways to talk to God through art, craft or using physical objects as a way to communicate their praise, to give thanks, to say sorry or to ask for something like forgiveness.
In Luke’s gospel, we find this
‘Ask and it will be given to you,
Seek and you will find,
Knock and He will answer’
It emphasises the need to talk to God and when we communicate with Him we will often be shown the way or offered an answer.
To support the community we have also added a ‘Time to think’ PowerPoint with stimulating questions, ideas and thoughts for you to talk about as a family. Please take a look. It can be a good way to spend time together thinking, talking and reflecting and can support everyone’s mental wellbeing.
Hopefully, these ideas will help support you all at home as most of us enter a second lockdown period.

In addition to this, Reverend Carol Avery holds a weekly ‘Reflection of the Week’, which can be found on Stanground and Farcet C of E Churches Facebook page or on Youtube.
