Dear parents and carers,

Following a review of our heat risk assessment and close monitoring of in-school temperatures today, we have seen a clear upward trend in building temperatures during the afternoon period.

With this in mind, we are offering the option for parents to collect children at 12:30pm on **Thursday and Friday** this week. This is entirely parental choice, and school will remain open for families who wish their children to stay for the full day.

For those remaining in school, the afternoon will be off‑curriculum, with calm and relaxing activities to ensure children remain comfortable and safe in school.

Please let your child's class teacher know **tomorrow morning at drop-off** if you plan to collect your child early.

Please note:

-  Year 5 and Year 6 pupils will NOT be permitted to walk home alone. An adult must collect them.

- All collections will be from the main school office. If the collection point changes, we will inform parents. 

Thank you for your support and understanding as we continue to prioritise the wellbeing of our children. Please do spread the word to all parents who may not regularly check Dojo or their emails.
