    • Exciting New Lunch Events

      Published 24/10/25

Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the recent parent survey about your child’s meal preferences at home. Your feedback has been incredibly valuable and has helped shape a brand-new, exciting menu that we hope will appeal to your children and encourage more hot meals during the colder months.

Our updated menu features a variety of tasty new dishes including Frankfurter Hot Dogs, All Day Breakfast, Katsu Chicken, Spaghetti Carbonara, and much more. We’re also introducing a series of themed ‘Special’ days to celebrate occasions such as Bonfire Night, Christmas, National Pie Day, Chocolate Cake Day, Chinese New Year, and TÅ‚usty Czwartek.

During the half-term break, please take a moment to browse the new menus and upcoming Specials on School Grid, and pre-book your child’s meals in advance. These delicious new options will be available from the first day back after half term.

If you have suggestions for future Specials, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to email me at eashmore@stm.act-academytrust.org and I’ll be happy to consider your ideas for upcoming menus.

Thank you for your continued support. Wishing you all a wonderful and restful half term!

    • EYFS Police & Doctor Days

      Published 23/10/25

This week in EYFS, we’ve been exploring the important roles of people who help us in our community. Our topic, People Who Help Us, has sparked curiosity and excitement as the children learned about real-life superheroes who keep us safe and healthy.

We were thrilled to welcome special visitors to our classroom! A local police officer joined us to talk about how they help keep our community safe. The children loved trying on parts of the uniform and asking thoughtful questions about the officer’s job. Later in the week, we had a visit from a nurse, who shared how they care for people when they’re unwell. The children were fascinated by the medical tools and enjoyed role-playing as mini nurses and doctors!

Through stories, discussions, and hands-on activities, the children have developed a deeper understanding of the many ways people help us every day. It’s been a wonderful week of learning, inspiration, and fun!
