Young Minds

Dear Parents and Carers,
We are excited to share that, as part of National Football Week, our school will be running a 5‑a‑side Football League from 23rd–27th March. This event is a brilliant opportunity for pupils to develop teamwork, improve their fitness, and enjoy friendly competition with their peers.
Pupils are invited to form their own teams of five players to enter the league. Matches will take place during the school day, with separate competitions for Year 1/2, Year 3/4, and Year 5/6.
There is an entry fee of £10 per team (£2 per pupil). All money raised will go towards improving our school playground, helping to create a more engaging and enjoyable space for all children.
A flyer with full details is attached, and pupils are welcome to begin forming their teams straight away. Please send a list of team players and entry money to Mrs Wenden by Monday 2nd March.
Look out for details of more events as we are looking forward to a fun week of football and celebrating the fantastic sportsmanship within our school community.
Thank you, as always, for your continued support.
Kind regards,
Sophie Wenden

This week, the children split into their new house teams, Manji, Smith, Cornelius and Royce.
They enjoyed spending time working in mixed age groups to complete project work for Anti-Bullying week. Project work included making songs and creating amazing art work.
The children spoke highly of their time in their new house teams and are looking forward to having this opportunity again soon 🙂

Thanks to your generosity, St Michael's raised a total of £268.81 for children in need. Thank you!
Please enter an introduction for your news story here.
Children are invited to come to school dressed in their PJ's for a £1 donation.
Thank you to everyone who took the time to complete the recent parent survey about your child’s meal preferences at home. Your feedback has been incredibly valuable and has helped shape a brand-new, exciting menu that we hope will appeal to your children and encourage more hot meals during the colder months.
Our updated menu features a variety of tasty new dishes including Frankfurter Hot Dogs, All Day Breakfast, Katsu Chicken, Spaghetti Carbonara, and much more. We’re also introducing a series of themed ‘Special’ days to celebrate occasions such as Bonfire Night, Christmas, National Pie Day, Chocolate Cake Day, Chinese New Year, and Tłusty Czwartek.
During the half-term break, please take a moment to browse the new menus and upcoming Specials on School Grid, and pre-book your child’s meals in advance. These delicious new options will be available from the first day back after half term.
If you have suggestions for future Specials, I’d love to hear from you! Feel free to email me at eashmore@stm.act-academytrust.org and I’ll be happy to consider your ideas for upcoming menus.
Thank you for your continued support. Wishing you all a wonderful and restful half term!
