Call to Prayer Response

A Call to Prayer for the Nation

In November 2020, the Archbishops of Canterbury and York and the Bishop of London called the Church of England to pray for the nation throughout the month of November.

In response to this, we launched on our website a series of ‘Creative Prayer’ for our children to learn different ways to talk to God during COVID times through art, craft or using physical objects as a way to communicate their praise, to give thanks, to say sorry or to ask for something like forgiveness.

In Luke’s gospel, we find this

‘Ask and it will be given to you,

          Seek and you will find,

          Knock and He will answer’

It emphasises the need to talk to God and when we communicate with Him we will often be shown the way or offered an answer.

To support our community we have added a ‘Time to think’ PowerPoint with stimulating questions, ideas and thoughts to talk about as a family. Please take a look. It can be a good way to spend time together thinking, talking and reflecting and can support everyone’s mental wellbeing.
