School Performance
We are proud of our pupils' achievements and the progress they make whilst with us.
The 2018-2019 academic year saw our fourth cohort of Year 6 pupils take the national tests for 11 year olds. Results this year continued our upward trend and were the best results the school has achieved so far - a testament to the hard work, dedication and love from all involved.
Once again, we couldn't have been prouder of the way our pupils conducted themselves. They took everything in their stride knowing they had worked hard, were well prepared and proud of their achievements since joining our school family - many of whom had only been with us for a very short time.
Below is a summary of our official school results and comparisons with other schools. More information can also be found in the DfE Performance Tables and OfSTED reports.

National and Local Comparisons
Baseline assessments, which measure children's attainment on entry to our school, show that a large number start school below the levels expected for their age.
However, by the end of their first year at St Michael’s, the number of children who have reached age expectations has been in line with the Peterborough averages for the past few years. In 2019, we were slightly above the National Average.
As a PiXl school we carry out our own internal assessments. Over the past 2 years we have regularly assessed our children, across years 1 to 6, on Reading, SPaG and Maths.
Whilst teaching we assess and evaluate across all year groups and have continued to assess our children's writing at the end of each unit and in line with national expectations. This also helps increase our own knowledge of our children.
