Welcome to the Puffins class page. 

This half term, our first topic in Year 3 is ‘Walking with Dinosaurs!’ The children will immerse themselves in their learning whilst finding out about what life was like over 145 million years ago. As well as this, they will also have the opportunity to meet a ‘real’ dinosaur during our WOW Day visit from the Education Group on Friday 13th October.  

Within our English lessons, we will be reading Julia Donaldson’s ‘The Dinosaur’s Diary’ which will enable us to understand the features of a diary before writing our own, as a dinosaur whom faces everyday troubles. We will be completing our weekly spellings test on a Friday morning.  

In our Math lessons, we will be focusing on Place Value and understanding what numbers consist of and therefore how they’re made. We will also complete our weekly times tables test (up to and including 12 x 12) on a Friday morning.  

This term, our PE lessons will take place on a Monday and Wednesday. These lessons will both be outdoors.
